The Salon “Arts as Soft Power,” hosted at Harvard University, brought together leaders from many disciplines to explore the humanities as potentially transformative for global policy. Led by Christina Lessa, this first convening showcased how the arts enrich public discourse with reflection on complex social, economic, and environmental issues. Inspired by a prompt from Joseph Nye, the salon emphasized arts’ ability to bridge divides, including the challenges posed by AI.
