The Power of Color:
Guerrilla Beautification & Gray-Washing Censorship

Since the protests in early 2012, Turkish police have taken the streets to paint over any anti-government graffiti in gray. “Ironically, while this systematic  gray-washing of protest may serve to obscure the voice of opposition in Turkey, it also draws attention to that which it seeks to hide.”
