Cities in Gender Key

Maloka, Bogota’s interactive museum,, and the Academic Vice Presidency of Jorge Tadeo Lozano University jointly hosted a gathering titled TRA+ (plots). This 2024 edition developed the theme “Cities in a Gendered Key” to listen and dialogue about shared spaces from a gender perspective.
Various professionals and artists participated, including architect and Pre-Texts Coordinator, Victoria Mena, arts professor Natalia Kempowsky Sanchez, architect Maria Elvira Madriñán from the Rogelio Salmona Foundation, cultural manager Diana Catherine Martínez Vargas, writer and poet Mónica Lucía Suárez, and visual artist Daniela Sáenz, along with approximately 25 more people.
The Pre-Texts protocol served to address the topic. Participants read from a text called Manifesto and then asked questions that were taped to the wall, as in the practice of clothesline literature.
