Before the Heat Immersion conference in New Delhi, a group of participants will take a unique two-day journey into India’s heat adaptation strategies, blending ancient wisdom and modern innovation. We will start with a sunrise visit to Ahmedabad’s stepwells, showcasing centuries-old cooling techniques. Then we engage with local entrepreneurs to discuss the economic impacts of extreme heat. On day two, we follow informal women workers who participate with Harvard’s Salata and Mittal Institutes to study heat exposure and responses.
