In Gujarat, India, the Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) is leading a grassroots movement in climate adaptation, training local women as Climate Educators and Entrepreneurs. These women—many of whom have only studied through middle school—are learning to teach climate science in accessible ways, promote sustainable technologies, and connect communities with financial resources through SEWA’s innovative Livelihood Recovery and Resilience Fund. Their work is a powerful example of community-driven solutions to global challenges.
