Inspiration: Wool March – Walking Towards Regeneration

Miscellaneous

Join Wool March, a community transhumance walk curated by Cynthia Hathaway, where sheep, humans, and landscapes reconnect through movement. This experiential event revives the ancient practice of transhumance, highlighting its role in biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, and human-animal collaboration. Wool, often undervalued despite its sustainability, takes center stage as participants create hand-felted activist blankets for the sheep, embroidered with messages about their vital role. The first Wool March took place in Tilburg, The Netherlands, bringing 100+ people and 300 sheep into the streets to reclaim space for wool and its ecosystem. Follow @woolmarch on Instagram for updates on the next walk!
