Lengua Ceibal, together with Uruguay’s leading education institutions, launches “Pre-Texts: A Participatory Pedagogy for Civic Coexistence” — a teacher training course open to educators with active groups.
The protocol, developed by Harvard professor Doris Sommer and recognized by UNESCO for its contribution to peace education, structures reading as a collective and dialogic process across five consecutive stages: shared reading, questions and responses, artistic creation, reflection, and tangential connections.
The course runs for 45 hours (3 credits), with sessions from May 19, in-person in Montevideo, with a virtual component on the CREA platform. Enrollment closes May 15.
