On Friday, September 4, 2026, Dr. Hortencia Chávez Reyna presented “Pre-Texts for Critical Thinking in the Nueva Escuela Mexicana” at the IPN International Book Fair in Mexico City — a session attended by members of the regional sections of Section 9 of the SNTE, convened by its Secretary General, Maestro Ulises Chávez Tenorio.
Section 9 represents all preschool and primary schools in Mexico City — thousands of educators across the capital. The encounter opens a significant door: next steps include organizing Pre-Texts training workshops through the union, in coordination with Cultural Agents.
