For one year, 28 children and adolescents at Comedor Siempre Carrillo in Buenos Aires’ Comuna 8 read Borges, Liliana Bodoc, and Pehuenche literature — and turned those texts into costumes, labyrinths, and collective art.
Children as young as 5 recite passages from memory. Catalina and Estefanía, participants since the beginning, now lead activities for the group. Facilitators Johana and Aldana Bucca, Silvia Goncel, and Carmen Delfino weave Pre-Texts into the fabric of community care.
