At The Central Library of Mönchengladbach, Germany

Cultural Agents

From the Central Library of Mönchengladbach, artist and educator Daniela Flörsheim collaborated with library director Yilmaz Holz-Ersahin, Harvard student Paul Palmer, musician Roland Wolff, and Professor Doris Sommer to bring Pre-Texts to Germany. Their workshops invited children and adults to explore literature through art and music, transforming reading into a creative and collective experience. In bilingual sessions featuring Animal Farm by George Orwell, participants questioned, imagined, and performed—teachers among them eager to adopt this dynamic method. See September Newsletter. Pre-Texts at the Mönchengladbach Stadtbibliothek – CULTURAL AGENTS | CULTURAL AGENTS – Arts and Humanities in Civic Engagement Daniela also presented a performance with Marianne Pitzen and Holz-Ersahin at the Women’s Museum of Bonn, combining music and text.
