On July 29, 2026, the Architecture faculty of Universidad Católica de Colombia gathered for a Pre-Texts session built around Heidegger’s “Building, Dwelling, Thinking.” Convened by Dean Carlos Hernández, the workshop opened — without intending to — multiple routes of conversation about learning and the role of the professor.
In a discipline where construction begins with imagination, Pre-Texts revealed a natural affinity: to understand a text and to design a space are both acts of observation, interpretation, and invention.
“Thank you for such generosity and commitment.” — Dean Carlos Hernández
