Carlos, Federico, and Francisco Valldejuly — identical triplets from Puerto Rico and Harvard sophomores — spent six weeks at Università d’Annunzio in Chieti-Pescara, Italy, through the Weissman International Internship Program, deepening their study of Pre-Texts under Professors Valeria Pica, Pierluigi Sacco, and Doris Sommer.
The program combined artistic interpretation of texts, cross-language dialogue, and collective intelligence. Working in Italian, the triplets discovered that Pre-Texts makes difficult things approachable through art and community.
