From June 20-24, a group of researchers and cultural agents journeyed to Colombia’s Pacific coast as Pilgrims for the Planet. They moved “at the rhythm of the waves.” Between stunning landscapes and deep social challenges, they learned from ancestral practices such as mano cambiada, bartering, and minga, which sustain a vision of a solidarity and sustainable economy rooted in Nuquí. In this corner of the Pacific, where whales find the warmth and security to give birth to their heirs, we accompanied the tide as willing partners to resist despair, to imagine a better future and to build it.
